Here's Where You Can Find It! Click here for step-by-step instructions that will help you check your computer to make sure that Microsoft Publisher 2000 or above for Windows is correctly installed on your computer before making a purchase. GET A TRIAL COPY FOR FREE If you do not own Microsoft Publisher you can order a trial copy that expires in 30 days. The last time I ordered a trial CD from them, I had it within six days. 30 days after you install the software, it will expire. Thereafter, you will be able to open, view,
change and print your files, but you will not be able to save your changes.
When you open the file again, you will see the original template with none
of your changes. Microsoft makes
frequent changes to their website and this link may be broken. If so, please
notify me. Thanks. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE TRIAL COPY Microsoft Publisher 2003 can be used with Windows 98 (both versions), Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP. You will need 180 MB of free space on your hard drive for this software to operate correctly. You can remove the trial version from your hard drive after it expires if you wish. If you purchase the full version later, you will have to remove the trial version before installing it. UPGRADE VERSIONS Microsoft may have an upgrade only version of this software, but I could not find it for sale on their site. If you already own an older version of Publisher, you are eligible to purchase the less expensive upgrade only version from your local office supply store (Office Depot, Office Max, Best Buy etc.) or use the rebate coupon included with the software. Increasingly, the upgrade only versions are more difficult to find. It seems Microsoft prefers go make you buy the more expensive full program, then use their coupon to get part of your money back. If you own one of the Microsoft Office Suites you may also be eligible to purchase the upgrade version instead of the full version. Read the back and sides of the software box to be sure. Click here for general info about Microsoft upgrades and here for specific Publisher upgrade information. Microsoft changes their website so frequently this link may be broken. If so, go to their website and search under "upgrade version of Publisher". You need proof of ownership when installing the new software! So make sure you have the CD or diskette of the older version on hand during installation.

Our templates are easy to use and take advantage of the most sophisticated
features of Publisher. They also assume that you are proficient with Publisher. If you are a first time user, give yourself time to learn the package. Depending upon your skill with
Microsoft software, it will take you anywhere from a few hours to a day or so to learn Publisher and then, get a feel for the layout of our template. PUBLISHER AVAILABLE AT KINKO'SSeveral customers who purchased a Publisher template and discovered they did not have that software on their computer reported to us that they went to a local FedEx Kinko's, rented time on their computers and completed the keepsake. The 24-hour locations usually offer this feature. But, your local Kinko's may do so as well. They have most of the popular software including Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word.
Check the Kinko's website to see if there is one in your area.
But, in some stores, the version available may not be the most recent or compatible with our
template. Call them to
make sure they have the software you need and to get their hourly pricing. The place is usually packed around college finals time, the holidays, Saturday morning/early afternoons and in the evenings. Space used to be first come, first served. But, ask if you can reserve a specific time.
If you decide to do this, copy your template to a cd (1.45 MB or larger templates) or diskette (1.36 MB templates and smaller) and take that with you. Save frequently
to the cd as you work and save your completed document to the cd as well. An experienced
user of Publisher could complete most of our smaller templates in a couple of hours (1-4). Just be sure you take all of the necessary info with you when you go. This may not be the most economical solution for using our larger templates or templates which need frequent changes before final printing such as the family reunion booklet or the
family reunion cookbook.
