Now, every member of your family will know what makes Aunt Mildred's apple pie so special! Get this unique, inexpensive family reunion cookbook template for Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word and make your own Family recipe cook book. Celebrate your cooking heritage and record the family's best collection of recipes in a thoughtfully designed family reunion cookbook. Your family cook book will be a cherished keepsake for young and old family members - new and experienced cooks.

What will a Family Reunion Cook Book do for you?

  • Assembling family cook book from scratch is a great idea - but a lot of work. Our cook book template will make that job a lot easier for you. Recipe pages are pre-formatted with space for a complete recipe, a brief bio of the contributor and their personal memory of meals with the dish.
  • Easy to create. Just highlight and delete our info then, substitute your own.
  • No more lost recipes for favorite dishes! Collect favorite recipes from your family back three or four generations - as many as you want. Only the Word Folded Book is restricted in the number of recipes that you can add.
  • Capture family members' experiences and memories from the best part of their lives: an especially tasty dish, Sunday dinner at grandma's, Christmas dinner, annual cook-outs, a funny story or special shared family meals.
  • Every family member - even the children - can donate a recipe. Contributors feel like an important part of the reunion.
  • Customize your cookbook by adding color photos of each recipe and/or a photo of the contributor and their family.
  • As with all of our templates, colors, fonts, graphics and layout can be changed.
  • We include links to web sites with free recipes
  • Suitable for use by all types of cooks and especially helpful for new cooks.
  • Includes a separate download with eight different pre-formatted family trees. Select the one you want, complete it and insert it into your cookbook or give it out with the cookbook.
  • Works with A4 international paper. Just change the paper size and page layout settings in your program.
Make extra money by using your template to create customized printed family recipe books and sell them to neighbors and friends. or, use advance sales of the reunion cook book to underwrite the expenses of your elderly family members attending the reunion. Be sure to take extra copies to sell at the reunion. Books can sell for $10-$20 each depending upon the number of recipes, the paper and cover you use to make your reunion cookbook and the perceived value of the recipes in the cook book.

The cookbook templates are available for Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word. The Cookbooks print out on  8-1/2" x 11" paper. You'll get 76 pre-formatted pages with color graphics, detailed instructions for preparing and printing the cookbook, sample recipes in a friendly easy-to-follow format, fifteen (15) categories, helps pages, index and table of contents. Each template includes specific and General Instructions.

We've made it easy for you! Just gather your recipe collection, bios and stories. Following the template format, delete our info and insert your own. Then, print. You can make them at home on your own color printer, do them yourself at a copy center (such as Office Depot or Office Max) or leave them at a copy center/print shop (such as the Office Depot copy center, Quik Print or Kinko's) and have them done for you. Our General Instructions page includes suggestions for paper and binding methods. Your creativity combined with some of the wonderful papers available, will give you a polished end result. Share your family history right along with your family recipes. This cook book will be one of the most unique items at your family reunion.

You have a choice of two finished layouts: (1) full sheet USA letter size assembled into a Loose Leaf Booklet or (2) full sheet US letter size paper folded in half vertically to create a Folded Booklet.  Please make your selection carefully! Although the content is the same, the layouts are very different. No substitutions or refunds if you select the wrong format.

What's the difference between the Loose Leaf and the Folded Book Cookbook layouts?

8-1/2" x 11" Loose Leaf  Family Cookbook for Word 2003 or Publisher 98, 2K and 2003+

  1. Ideal for a large family cookbook.
  2. You can easily add as many pages as you want to the Loose Leaf book
  3. The page is long enough to accommodate two recipes per page if you wish.
  4. It must be stapled or bound together on the outside in the left hand margin.
  5. You can also punch it with three holes, or plastic comb binder, Uni-bind to hold it together. The left margin allows extra room for binding.
  6. Or you can print it on pre-punched paper and insert it into an three ring 9" x 11" binder

8-1/2" x 11" Folded Booklet Family Reunion Cookbook for Word 2003:

  1. Ideal for a small family cookbook. You get three pages for recipes and one acknowledgements / category page that could also be used for a recipe if needed. You'll have a total of four separate recipe pages in each food section: one category page, three recipe pages.
  2. You can not add pages to the Word folded booklet format. Word does not automatically repaginate the entire document when you add a page. Therefore, you must manually rearrange every page following the page that you add.
  3. The booklet must be folded and stapled inside. Margins do not allow extra room for an outside binding.

8-1/2" x 11" Folded Booklet Family Cookbook For Publisher 98, 2K and 2003:

  1. Ideal for a small family cookbook. You get three pages for recipes and one acknowledgements / category page that could also be used for a recipe if needed.
  2. You can insert pages. Instructions are included. Publisher automatically repaginates the entire document when you add a page.
  3. The booklet can be folded and stapled inside or cut and bound outside.

All of our templates require an IBM compatible computer with Microsoft Windows 2000+ and either Microsoft Publisher 2003 or Microsoft Word 2003. Older versions (Publisher/Word 2000) are available. If you need one, just let me know. The family reunion cookbook templates are available for Microsoft Word or Microsoft Publisher. This software must be installed on your computer in order for you to open and use the templates. The Word 2003 templates should be backwards compatible to Word 2000. If you do not own either software package go here for a list of retailers. If you have questions about our templates, go here to send me an e-mail.

Please make your selection carefully! The content of the cookbooks is exactly the same
however, the page layouts are different.
